About me
Thomas Beavin joined IBM in 1986 as a Db2 developer working in the Utilities area. In 1994 he joined the Db2 query optimizer development team, where he is still currently a member. He has designed features and written code for every release of Db2 since version 1 release 2.
In recent year's, Tom's focus has been on desiging and developing the Db2ZAI SQL optimization feature.
Tom has numerous patents and publications, mostly related to query optimization technology.
